Welcome to First Grade!

Welcome to your first day of 1st grade!

I am excited to get to know you and learn with you. I am happy that I met most of you at Open House last night and eager to meet the rest of you.

We have a very exciting year ahead of us. Many new things to learn and many new friends to meet. Today you will get to meet and get to know your new friends. We will learn about capital letters and lower case letters and write about our first day. In math, we will learn about all the things we do during Calendar.

We will have a fabulous day!

  2. Hello Ms Coffin...in the packet you gave us containing Supply List, Snacks...you ask us to please send in healthy snacks for the class. Are you going to assign parents a day to bring snacks or do we just send snacks randomly? In her Kindergarten Class, parents were assigned a day during the month and were notified via a calender at the beginning of the month. We were also sent a gift bag labeled with the day of the week snack was due the Friday before the week we were to send snacks in. It made life easier and gave us time to shop for a snack. :)

    1. That is a very good question. Please send in snacks as you purchase them. It will be nice to have a good amount to start the year off. Today we did get 3 boxes of crackers to use for snack. These will last us a little while.
